I had a friend over and we watched Last of the Dog Men. It’s a movie my husband loved so much that we watched it at least once a year sometimes twice. My husband passed two years ago and I have not watched it since. Until last night. i loved it, as usual. Missed my dear husband too.

I like to pose an image of the album art but can’t seem to find a way to do that.
Here’s a link to the movie instead.

...who may have, or may not inspired by Ridley to make epics, in MTV way!
I have both The Rock Criterion Collection and Pearl Harbor Director's Cut DVDs, and both still hold up on a larger screen. I had the non-Criterion DVD of Armageddon, but because it was non-anamorphic, I upgraded it to the Blu-ray.

Thanks for joining the thread, Janet -- and I am SO sorry to hear about your husband. My sincere condolences.

today is a day for StarWars Fans to hold their annual rituals by either by having their homescreens displaying swerving light sabre glares or space gun lasers, speakers blaring mid-high pitch of laser beams as well as flying X-Wings and other flying crafts.
i had overlooked on the date, got that "ritual" done several weeks earlier.

so, today, not in celebration to the Special Date, but doing regular visit back to other titles. pulled out "3R Themed" flicks of...

hopefully the latest announcement of 4K release sticks to original laserdisc aspect ratio of WS2.35:1, not the DVD WS1.85:1 cropped image that had been around for some years!
I wasn't even aware that this film's original ratio was in a scope format -- I always believed it to be the 1.85:1 as seen on HBO/Rysher's DVD. That's very interesting.

I was thinking of upgrading to Kino's 4K version, but we only watch it around the holidays...

Is that the real ratio, though? Maybe the 1.85 version is...

the key attraction may not be the STARS Tom vs Mel vs Daniel,
or the DIRECTORS Zwick vs Mann vs Gibson...
but rather the SCORES, from the Composers!
Zimmer vs Horner vs tag team RANDY EDELMAN+TREVOR JONES
